Biography
Altanlı was the pen name of Abdürahim İlyas Şeyhzade, a Crimean Tatar poet and writer born in Karasubazar in 1898. He contributed to İleri during the later years of the journal, joining a literary community that included several other writers from the same town.
The thesis gives his life dates as 1898–1976, but provides little detail about his later decades. His contributions to the periodical remain an important point of access to his writing and place within Crimean Tatar literary life.
Altanlı must be distinguished from Altaylı, the pen name used by Ablakim İlmiy. Both names appear in the journal, but they identify different writers. Keeping that distinction preserves the authorship of their respective works.

In the thesis on İleri
The thesis gives Altanlı's real name as Abdürahim İlyas Şeyhzade, a poet and writer born in Karasubazar in 1898 who wrote for İleri under this pen name. It separately identifies Altaylı as the pen name of Ablakim İlmiy; the two similar names belong to different writers and are kept apart here. Profiled among the journal's writers in Kılıç (2023), Chapter 1, thesis p. 19.
